Lucy Dunning, Ed.S, LPC, NCC, PMH-C
Approach to working with Separation, Divorce, and Post Divorce
I pull from the personal experience of separation in addition to the education and training in various capacities when helping families. Understanding the hardships and the family law system, I provide cost effective solutions for parents who are ending a marriage or for parties that are having post-divorce issues. I focus on the family system including blended families. My role in working with families is to reduce the trauma that parents and children experience when exposed to the court system over a period of time with no positive change. The goal is to help clients resolve issues and move your family forward in a positive direction. I personalize every service to blend with the individual or individuals’ strengths unique to each family member and apply the research that best fits the services that you need. I take into consideration that by the time most individuals see me, they have already seen multiple providers and are quite “burned out” from the family law process.
